⨠Homemade Tiramisu â¨
Ingredientsâ¨â˘ 6 egg yolks (room temperature)â¨â˘ 6 egg whites (room temperature)â¨â˘ 500 mL Saputo mascarponeâ¨â˘ â
cup organic cane sugarâ¨â˘ Âź tsp sea saltâ¨â˘ 2 tsp vanilla extractâ¨â˘ 2-4 cups of strong brewed coffee, cooledâ¨â˘ Âź cup KahlĂşa (for the mascarpone)â¨â˘ Âź cup KahlĂşa (for the coffee)â¨â˘ Camino Dutch Process cocoa, for dusting between layersâ¨â˘ Ladyfingers
Directions
1. Bring the eggs to room temperature. Brew the coffee and let cool.
2. In a bowl, blend the mascarpone, Âź cup KahlĂşa, and sea salt. Refrigerate.
3. Separate the egg yolks and whites. Make sure the bowl for the egg whites is completely clean and free of any fat or yolk, or they wonât whip properly.
4. Boil a pot of water with about an inch of water. Let simmer on med heat.
5. In a stainless steel mixing bowl that fits perfectly over your pot, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar (or use a double boiler). *Make sure the bowl doesnât touch the water*. Beat with a hand mixer until pale yellow, thick, and ribbon-like, about 5 minutes. Continue beating off the heat if needed until you reach the desired consistency. Mix in the vanilla, then fold into the mascarpone mixture. Return to the fridge.
6. Whip the egg whites for a few min until stiff peaks form. Gently fold them into the mascarpone mixture with a large spatula until smooth and fully combined.
7. Mix the cooled coffee with the remaining Âź cup KahlĂşa.
8. Assemble by quickly dipping each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, layer in dish, spread with the mascarpone cream, and dusting generously with cocoa. Repeat the layers, finishing with cocoa on top.
9. Unfortunately, refrigerate overnight before serving.
Enjoy this highly metabolic dessert, youâre welcome đŤś

My sweet Abuelita,
You came to Canada alone from Ecuador with courage, faith, and a dream for your family. Through sacrifice, endless tears, hard work, and endless love, you built a life full of opportunities and blessings for all of us.
Because of you, generations of your family have been able to thrive.
You helped raise me and shaped so much of who I am. You taught me faith not only through your words, but through the way you lived. You taught me hospitality, grace, patience, generosity, and what it means to truly love people well. You shared your gifts with meâyour creativity, your cooking, your sewing, your art, your healing hands, and your ability to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
You gave so much of yourself to the people you loved. Your life was one of sacrifice, service, and quiet yet undeniable strength. Your prayers covered our family every day, and I know we are all standing in the blessings of those prayers.
You were gentle and kind, yet fiercely strong. The most resilient woman I have ever known. The way I love, nurture, care for others, and pour into the world comes from you. Your heart lives on in me. Every meal shared, every act of kindness, every prayer whispered, every person welcomed at my table carries a piece of your legacy.
Thank you for helping raise me. Thank you for loving me so deeply. Thank you for showing me what the love of God looks like in human form.
I will miss you more than words can say, but I will carry you with me always.
Te amo para siempre, Abuelita. đ¤đď¸đš
