Can I share something I've noticed?
The women I work with aren't lacking motivation.
They're exhausted from trying to figure everything out on their own.
"What should I eat?" "Should I eat more protein?" "Is this perimenopause?" "Why am I craving sugar?"
The real problem isn't willpower.
It's information overload.
What health question do you wish you had a clear answer to?

Can we talk about how confusing nutrition has become?

One person says avoid carbs.
Another says track everything.
Someone else says cut dairy.
Another says “I am acne prone and I eat dairy!”

And suddenly you're standing in the grocery store wondering what you're actually supposed to eat.

Whether you're dealing with adult acne, perimenopause, menopause, or any other hormone related challenge, the amount of conflicting information we see online can feel so overwhelming.

So, I'm curious:
What's your biggest health frustration right now?

Hey! If you’re new here , I’m Rebecca . I’m a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner and a former hormonal mess.

For years I dealt with hormone stuff - coming off birth control pills, terrible acne, energy stuff, hair falling out..

Over the years I’ve learned that we don’t necessarily need meds, crazy supplement regimens or restrictive diets to start correcting those kind of hormonal symptoms.

Our hormones like balance in our daily lives. They don’t like restriction or extremes.

In my experience, hormone health is about doing less, not more. It’s about slowing down, not cramming more into your already stressful days. It’s about understanding your own body’s needs, not endlessly scrolling through social media and websites hopeful that the magic pill for one woman will also be yours.

Does this sound like something you are currently doing?
Do you feel stuck and annoyed?
Do you just want answers and clarity?

I love it when I end up with a little more time in the evenings than usual.

Last night was one of those nights. I decided to cook myself something fancier than my usual “girl dinner”.

I grabbed a couple of top sirloin steaks, some broccoli and pecorino cheese.

Cooked up the steaks in rosemary butter (I just threw 2 sprigs into the melting butter in my pan).

For the broccoli, I boiled them, then squashed them flat onto a baking sheet. From there I drizzled olive oil and threw them into the oven at 350 for about 15 mins (they could have gone a bit longer!)

Then topped with the pecorino.

So good. My man loved it too!

High protein. Good source of iron and vitamins. Liver supportive.

Are you a good cook? What’s your fav meal to prepare?

Is it just me?

Just like you, I follow a lot of health practitioners and doctors online. I like to see their content. I like to learn. I like to understand things that are working for other peoples clients so that I can better help my own.

Social media is a great tool for that.

That being said, increasingly I feel overwhelmed by how much information people are posting. Some of it is true. Some of it I’ve never heard before. And some of it is complete bullsh*t!

I’m a trained functional nutrition practitioner and even I find online content overwhelming . I can’t even imagine how the general public feels about it.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by content about hormone health? Let me know in the comments! Let’s talk about it.

What does having “balanced hormones “ mean to you?

Let me know in the comments.

I’ve been in the wellness industry for a long time. I’ve talked to many women about hormone related issues - skin, period pain, menopause, sleep, hair loss… you name it , I’ve heard it from someone.

Hormones do different things to different people. Having balanced hormones means different things to different people.

You have more power over your health than you think you do.

This post is ultimately meant to be an expression of gratitude on my part. I’ve been through health challenges.

I had acne for 20 years. I had terrible period symptoms when I stopped taking birth control pills. I’ve had 2 surgeries (appendicitis and wisdom teeth extraction). I’ve had horrible reactions to drugs that sent my digestion into a tailspin. I’m now entering perimenopause and it’s noticeable.

I’m not the only one feeling these things.

Going to nutrition school and learning the principles of holistic nutrition was the best move I ever made. I was sent on a healing journey for myself, but best of all… I learned how to help others.

I learned that women have more control over our health than we think we do. We call the shots for our bodies. It’s not acceptable to be dismissed by our doctors because labs are fine and “theres nothing clinically wrong”.

Learning about our bodies is a gift from the universe. It will set you free. It will allow you to take control of your health. It will allow you to balance.

You know that awkward itch feeling when a new breakout is coming on…

I don’t know about you, but that feeling is so triggering. A long time ago, I used to feel that pretty much daily. Now, not so much. Thank goodness.

Even though now I’m acne-free , I still get pimples every once in a while. I consider them to be little reminders that my body still needs TLC.

Consider this post just a small reminder that no matter where you are on your acne journey, a new pimple doesn’t ever mean you’re doing something wrong.

It just means that your body is having a momentary anger spell and needs some love.

So take it easy, grab a herbal tea and make sure you’re consistent with your sleep, movement, hydration, supplements and balanced meals and everything will carry on as normal.

❤️💜

1. Have you ever tested your OMEGA BALANCE?

2. Are you pooping every day - PROPERLY?

3. What are you eating for breakfast?

These are 3 areas of healthy lifestyle that I don’t see spoken about enough online. And they’re so important for hormone health - and in turn clear skin, normal periods, good mood and energy and proper sleep.

Omega balance is a very powerful number for you to understand. And we can measure it. A body that is in the safe zone of omega balance is a body that can heal itself.

Pooping is an awkward topic but I don’t care. Pooping is how we eliminate waste - that includes hormone waste. If you’re not pooping, the waste is just sitting in there. You wouldn’t leave your kitchen garbage just sitting around would you? So why are you letting it happen with your body?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Actually. It can be the make or break for your blood sugar balance for the rest of the day. Balanced blood sugar is the difference between a good sleep and a bad one, good mood or sh*tty mood and properly manufactured hormones vs not.

Questions? Let’s talk about it. Send a DM - which area stood out to you the most?
