Hello — it’s been a while, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. 🤍

My name is Mylynn. I’m a bridal hair and makeup artist based in Calgary and the founder of Makeup by Mylynn.

For the past 10 years, beauty has been my craft. What began as curiosity slowly grew into a deeper fascination with transformation — not the dramatic kind, but the subtle shifts. The kind that make someone stand a little taller, speak a little steadier, and feel more at ease in their own skin. Over time, that curiosity evolved into something much deeper — helping women feel confident and like the best version of themselves in moments that matter most.

My style is soft glam: polished, refined, and intentional. I’m passionate about creating makeup that enhances natural features, balances the face, and photographs beautifully while still feeling like you. Much of my work focuses on thoughtful placement and colour harmony — especially when working with Asian features such as hooded or monolid eyes and varying undertones — so the final look feels balanced, lifted, and seamless both in person and on camera.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of brides and building a team of incredibly talented artists who share the same philosophy of thoughtful, intentional artistry.

Being the daughter of immigrant parents, I grew up watching firsthand what dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance looked like every day. That work ethic shaped the way I approach both my craft and my business, and it continues to guide me today.

I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love and to be trusted with such meaningful moments in people’s lives.

Matching the face to the body is one of the most important parts of bridal makeup.

Many clients naturally have more warmth or depth through the shoulders and chest than in their face. Instead of simply choosing a darker foundation, I use colour theory to balance undertones and bring harmony between the face and body.

Strategic warmth through bronzer placement and carefully selected base shades help create a seamless transition — so the makeup looks natural in person and flawless on camera.
