🏈 Getting out that energy in the golden sunset while dinner is cooking

I’ll admit, witching hour has ALWAYS been a struggle in our household. That dinner,bath,homework,bedtime routine was something I always dreaded.
Constant yelling, loud noises inside and a completely overstimulated mum in the kitchen 😬 - recipe for disaster.
So my “go to” was to seperate each of the kids into their rooms and put them either on an iPad or infront of a tv.
Did it work?? Heck yes!
But I’ve now come to realise that those learnt behaviours leaked into “during dinner & after dinner”
Of them being isolated in their rooms. No family time. We didn’t eat dinner together. We barely saw the kids until it was time to tuck them in.

I needed this to change. I felt like I was missing out on little moments everyday that was piling up to missing big chunks of their little lives weekly.

So this right here…is you guys getting a glimpse into our intentionality of less screen time around the times of days that matter most. 💕

……also touch season is just around the corner! 🙌🏻 great time for some practice.

We take a moment to enjoy the Peace & Calm of the afternoon glow in the golden sunset.
Allowing our bodies to Breathe. Reset. Regulate.

This time is a VERY important part of our routine.
